Practice Philosophy

I believe a relationship between a patient and his/her physician is that of a partnership.  I give the patients the information they need so they can make the best informed decision possible.  One of the reasons I went into rheumatology is because I enjoy building  long lasting relationships with patients.  I still find this one of the most fulfilling parts of practicing medicine.

I moved to Portland from the East Coast in 2004 and have been very happy here.  Now I can’t imagine why anyone lives on the East Coast!  I enjoy cooking, reading and love traveling with my husband and 2 wonderful children.
